Semi Vintage Classic

Semi-vintage 1981 Suzuki RM60 mini racer.

I acquired this bike from the original owner in 2001  for my kids. It was in incredible shape and looked as if it had just a few minutes run time on it. My boys put a few hours on it in my backyard before they outgrew it and surprisingly it stayed in fabulous condition. In 2007 I went from front to back and removed, cleaned and detailed every part and fastener and put them back on the bike. It is all original and correct right down to the grips.

I sent the motor to Eddie Sisneros (aka burned of TT) of OTD Suzuki to check through the lower end and rebuild the crank with new rod, bearing and thrust washers. The top end has a new piston, rings, wrist pin and bearing, clips and gaskets. The carb has been completely gone through as well. This motor is amazingly powerful and fast for it's displacement and will go 70mph. I put on brand new tires and tubes. Rims are perfect straight and rust free. The tank is clean with no rust inside. (So Cal Bike) Seat is perfect with no tears or abrasions and still has the grab handle intact. The pipe is as new with no dents and stock silencer in place.  It is currently dry with no oil or gas since the cleanup and rework was done and will remain so until the new owner decides to fill it up.

Cosmetically as you can see from the pictures this bike is in incredible shape for any age let alone a 30 year old bike. There are small flaws that you would expect to find in a well cared for original machine such as small scratches in the stickers, the right side of the tank has a slight color mismatch and  some of the side plate plastic is slightly faded from age. The pics are good but you must see this awesome little blast from the past in person to really appreciate it.

I doubt that you will find a better preserved RM 60 from this era at any price. If you had this bike when you were a kid and wish you still had it in your collection ...this is your chance to make that happen. If you want to see the bike in person you can contact me for an appointment. I have the CA title (it is a CA green sticker bike in current non-op status).  Contact me with any questions you may have about the bike.
